Winning Partnerships Toggle

Filipinos are not given to superlatives and so when a top executive of a start-up global company in a pioneering industry in the Philippines called us a “fantastic partner,” we knew we had done a good job.  Using a very focused search methodology, we filled up leadership positions that required highly technical and industry-specific skills.

The Philippine unit of a multinational energy corporation (oil, gas and geothermal energy) has a very rigorous process for sourcing (including community relations management), recruitment, assessment and documentation. The other challenge was finding people with highly technical skill sets and with a good fit to the company’s distinct culture. Our ability to manage all client requirements was evidenced by an average score for all engagements of 3.4 (on a scale of 1-4) for VOC (Voice of the Customer).

A global food consumer entity made leaps last year: an image revamp while setting up their first captive shared centre in Manila last December. The challenge posed to their partners was not only to complete an aggressive target of 90 hires to start within January 2013 but sell a mid-quartile compensation and benefits structure (within the captive-shared vertical) and a brand that was the youngest in terms of F&A experience. To solve their dilemma, we assigned an exclusive team with domain expertise in F&A recruitment and the provision of a talent map for their internal use. By launch, CESI has 35% share of the hires. We also became the exclusive RPO vendor of their manufacturing arm.

Our most enduring partnership, one that has spanned two decades, is with a Fortune 100 company in the consumer packaged goods and pharmaceutical industries. Our service model with them has evolved through the years, in response to the changing needs of their business. From our initial service of providing  staff augmentation, we are now providing more comprehensive services that include a Business Support Center ( where administrative support for all client departments are centralized) and a shared HR Services team for all business domains.
